It's time to look at Microsoft Windows 7, which I'm doing in two phases. First, I'll upgrade an existing Windows XP installation and detail the experience and my first impression of Windows 7. Back in the summer we started talking about Windows7 and how we couldn't wait for it to be officially released. We told you that we would be updated our DIY7 build and posting a new article once we had the chance to test it.

We have been getting a ton of emails and phone calls asking us about Windows 7 and compatibility with our latest DIY7 build and all our products. We are going to wait until after Windows 7 ships on October 22nd to officially recommend it, but we are very excited about it. For now, our advice is simple, have your cake and eat it too.
