It's hard to believe another year has gone by. I think 2009 was one of the most challenging years for our industry. This will probably go down as one of our most successful NAB shows ever! We've picked up several new lines, the most significant one I can tell you about is AJA, but we will have more exciting news to share with you as the spring heads into summer. The feelings around this year's NAB Show were of apprehension, tension and excitement. With the announcements that first Avid, and then Apple had pulled out of the show, no one was really quite sure what to expect. When we hit the show floor on Monday it was a bit disorienting. One of the things I like best about NAB is the chance to see all the new hardware coming down the road for video editing and production. Over the past few years computers have become so powerful that we can edit DV footage extremely well with just software alone. With the move to HD the software can handle the footage, but it takes some extra hardware to get the job done right.
