AJA Launches New Dante 12G Mini Converter at NAB 2025
At NAB 2025, AJA introduced a new, compact addition to their mini converter lineup: the Dante 12G AM. This sleek new unit offers audio embedding and disembedding for Dante systems and comes with a standalone interface, featuring a small front-screen display for direct status checks and control. While it operates independently, it can also integrate with the Dante controller and connect via IP for remote management.
The Dante 12G AM features two inputs and two outputs, enabling 16 channels of audio embedding and disembedding, with the ability to scale up to 64 channels by adding an SFP module for video connectivity. This includes SDI loop-through and the ability to add fiber or BNC connections via SFP. The rugged design ensures it can withstand tough environments, making it a reliable choice for live production. Additionally, the device is available in an OpenGear option, supporting up to 32 channels of embedding/disembedding for those using OpenGear infrastructure.
The Dante 12G AM mini converter will be shipping in the next two months, and AJA plans to expand this new form factor with additional products in the future.
