AJA Unveils Bridge Live 3G8 at NAB 2025: High-Density Bi-Directional IP Video Gateway

At NAB 2025, AJA unveiled the Bridge Live 3G8, a powerful update to its Bridge Live family of IP video gateway solutions. This new model offers eight 3G-SDI inputs in a compact 1RU chassis, allowing high-density conversion of baseband video to a wide range of IP and streaming formats, including H.264, H.265 (HEVC), SRT, NDI, RTMP/RTMPS, and MPEG transport streams. Uniquely, it supports bi-directional workflows, enabling both transmission and reception of streams in a single device—ideal for remote production, live events, or broadcast contribution. It can also handle mixed frame rates (e.g., 29.97 and 25 fps) simultaneously and offers optional upgrades for JPEG XS and JPEG 2000 support. With upgraded internals—new processor, RAM, and motherboard—the 3G8 delivers significant performance enhancements while maintaining AJA's signature reliability. Watch the full video:
