Just before NAB2005 Avid announced it was purchasing Pinnacle Systems. The deal took a little longer than expected to close, but this past August it all became official. Since that time there has been a ton of speculation over the future of Liquid Edition. Avid’s engineers have discovered what I (and thousands of other Liquid Edition users throughout the world) have known all along, Liquid Edition ROCKS! It is a tremendous video editing application loaded with integrated tools and breakthrough technologies. This past week Avid officially announced Avid Liquid 7, the next version of Liquid Edition. Just as before there will be two flavors, software only at $499.95 and Avid Liquid Pro w/ professional breakout box “Robert†for $999.95.
