Avid Media Composer Ultimate 2020.10 Review

Avid is known for constantly upgrading and updating their already widely used and dependable NLE software, Avid Media Composer. The most recent version of Media Composer Ultimate is here, in Media Composer Ultimate 2020.10.

Media Composer comes in two flavors, standard and Ultimate.  Ultimate is their top of the line software, compatible with both Windows and Mac.  This latest update brings some great improvements to Media Composer Ultimate.  

One of these improvements is found in the interface.  This interface has seen a complete redesign.  Gone are the days of the floating interface windows.  What has replaced these floating windows is a window that will be more universally familiar to editors migrating from Premiere or other popular NLEs. 

Importing has also seen a great deal of improvement.  Media can be imported in a variety of methods including from tape deck, or source browser. 

Editing has also been streamlined to better interact with an editors keyboard, making the experience quicker, and easier to navigate and operate.
