Avid Releases NEXIS PRO Shared Storage Solution

Avid is pleased to announce that the Avid NEXIS PRO was released 2 days ahead of the scheduled date and is now shipping. As a reminder, here is an overview: Avid NEXIS PRO—Professional-class storage purpose-built for independent professionals, small post-production, house of worship, government, corporate, and media education environments; offers real-time editorial collaboration (supporting 1–24 clients) and great scalability and performance; provides 20–80 TB of storage capacity across up to four engines at a budget-conscious price point--$4,000 less than its predecessor ISIS | 1000! An announcement email was sent out on May 19th, to the worldwide marketing database, and to prospects who asked to be notified when NEXIS was to be available. In addition, a letter will be sent to the existing 240 ISIS | 1000 customers to let them know the steps they need to take to convert their systems to Avid NEXIS PRO. They can now leverage the NEXIS | FS file system which will give them more flexibility and higher bandwidth than their current ISIS software.
