BirdDog & Vizrt TriCaster Empower NDI Workflows by Students

In a recent video from IdealSystemsTV, Singapore Polytechnic’s Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management (DEPM) students showcased their expertise in professional-grade video production tools. Using a state-of-the-art NDI® live streaming system—designed and installed by Ideal Systems—these students demonstrated how cutting-edge technology can enhance learning and deliver industry-standard results.

Celebrating 70 Years of Excellence
To mark its 70th anniversary, Singapore Polytechnic hosted a grand Dinner & Dance event at the Fairmont Ballroom, attended by over 1,000 guests. The event's live video production was fully managed by SP students, who operated as the backstage crew, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for attendees.

A High-Tech Production Setup
The students leveraged the latest NDI video production system, skillfully managing an array of advanced equipment, including:

• Panasonic cameras (left, right, middle, and roving) paired with BirdDog encoders for smooth video streaming.
• The Vizrt TriCaster, used for professional-grade camera switching, graphics, and titles.

From setting up the equipment to controlling lower thirds and titles, the students delivered a polished and professional production, highlighting the value of hands-on learning with industry-standard tools.
