Canopus EDIUS Broadcast

Studio Monthly by Barry Green Edius BroadcastCanopus has repackaged EDIUS Pro 3 with several optional modules to create a tightly integrated editing package with superb support for the Panasonic AG-HVX200, JVC GY-HD100, Canon XL H1 and Sony XDCAM. EDIUS Pro 3 is a tight, fast, few-frills editing system. It delivers most of the necessary tools, though it’s not as well-rounded as the competition. At the time of this review, there were several developments involving Canopus. First, the company had been acquired by Grass Valley. Second, Canopus had announced EDIUS 4.0. I won’t spend too much time on the EDIUS software itself; instead we’ll focus on the accessory packages that constitute EDIUS Broadcast. read more...
