Changes and Improvements in Avid Media Composer 7.0.2

Avid Blogs by Wim Van Broeck

Good news! Avid just released Media Composer 7.0.2 and in this blog post I want to share some of the changes and improvements that come with this release. Aside from that, it is worth mentioning that there are more than 70 bugs fixes. Media Composer 7.0.2 and NewsCutter 11.0.2 can be found in the Avid Download Center.

This is a full version of the editing application. You should uninstall the previous build from your system before you install Media Composer 7.0.2 or NewsCutter 11.0.2.

So without further ado, here are the highlights from Avid Media Composer 7.0.2:

Always keep one version of a bin in the Attic

An additional option has been added to the Bin Settings. The option “Always keep one version of a bin in Attic” has been included with this release. This option is on by default and when enabled will always keep at least one version of each bin in the Attic. (Note: This enabled position is how previous releases of the editing application kept versions in the Attic.)

If you deselect this option, older bins may have all Attic versions removed to keep to the Max Files limit. read more...
