Epiphan Pearl Encoders Support the Power of NDI

Since its inception in 2015, NDI has seen widespread adoption across the entire AV industry. But what is the outlook for NDI in 2023 and beyond? At ISE 2023, Epiphan decided to check-in on the state of NDI and recap it's benefits as a video transport and control protocol.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen the use of NDI on Pearl-2 grow dramatically with Epiphan users, with many requests for NDI|HX on Pearl Mini (which is exactly why they've added it with the latest firmware update!). NDI|HX is now available on Pearl Mini! With the new firmware update, you can enjoy up to two NDI|HX inputs. Additionally, we've enhanced NDI on Pearl-2, which now supports up to three Full Bandwidth NDI inputs and up to six NDI|HX inputs. Plus, all Pearl systems now have a direct Epiphan Connect integration that allows users to bring Microsoft Teams participants and screen share into their productions in 1080p HD with isolated audio.

Pearl Mini™ lets you record, stream, and switch up to three full HD video inputs from HDMI, SDI, and USB sources – or take advantage of new NDI|HX support. Use the giant touch screen or web-based interface, or access and operate the system from anywhere in the world with Epiphan Cloud.

Pearl-2™ brings the pro features and processing power required for the most demanding live events including 4K streaming and recording, live switching, NDI support, and chroma keying. Add Epiphan Cloud and you can control Pearl-2 from anywhere to produce broadcast-quality content from a distance.
