G-Technology Announces Its First NAS

Earlier this week at the National Associations of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, G-Technology announced its first NAS solution, the G-RACK 12. As the name implies, the new NAS solution is both a rackmount and 12-bay device. With the G-RACK 12, G-Technology is expanding its portfolio, aiming upstream, as they are more known for their desktop and portable storage devices. During the NAB Show G-Technology also gave a sneak peck of some of its new technology as well as demonstrations of its current line.
The target market for the G-RACK 12 is media and entertainment video workflows. The G-RACK 12 has a maximum capacity of 120TB (240TB with an expansion unit), which should be more than enough to handle video workflows, even those that are 4K or beyond. Small-to-medium size post-production houses, TV/broadcast studios, ad agencies, and in-house creative departments using Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer or other creative applications will see the G-RACK 12 as ideal for their workflows...
