G-Technology Workflow: Editing Back at the Studio
G-Technology is often an essential piece to a professional production workflow. Chrismartinscholl.com recently posted a great article breaking down the role of G-Technology in their workflow.
This time though, I’m going to talk about my technical setup, here in my office in Berlin and how I further process my content when coming back from a project or a trip, by using G-Technology’s Evolution Series desktop solutions.

Backup Layers
First backups can be done using a variety of G-Technology G-Drive ev RAW drives. However, only having a single back up for content does not equate to a proper full back up. That's where the G-Technology G-Speed Shuttle XL with ev Series Bay Adapters comes in. This is a proper desktop storage solution, that is scale-able and flexible- and with massive storage capacity.
The G-Technology G-SPEED Shuttle XL with ev Series Bay Adapters is an Evolution Series-compatible 8-bay RAID solution with Thunderbolt 3, offering huge capacities from 24 up to 80TB. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 configurations, to keep your content secure in case one or more hard drives fail.

Transferring Data
The G-Technology G-Drive ev RaW drives allow users to backup data onto the shuttle or transfer a project to portable drives- to edit on the go. This also eliminates the need for massive amounts of cables, and simplifies the transfer process.
