Grass valley EDIUS v4.1 now available

edius4Version 4.1 of EDIUS Pro and EDIUS Broadcast has been released. This new version includes added support for Sony XDCAM HD devices and GXF export for Grass Valley K2 Servers to EDIUS Broadcast.* EDIUS Pro and EDIUS Broadcast version 4.1 will begin shipping in physical packages later this month and will now come on a single DVD-ROM instead of multiple CD-ROMs as it did in the past. Existing EDIUS v4.x users can upgrade to version 4.1 now, by logging in to the Canopus Web site and downloading the update in the Product-Related Downloads section of your user account. Xplode Professional now included with EDIUS v4! Xplode Professional 4.5 for EDIUS has been released, adding compatibility with EDIUS version 4 and offering an expanded range of high-quality transitions and DVEs to the NLE software. EDIUS version 4.1 physical packages will include Xplode Professional v4.5 software on the DVD-ROM. Existing EDIUS v4.x users can download the full Xplode Professional 4.5 for EDIUS package free of charge, by logging in to the Canopus website and downloading it in the Product-Related Downloads section of your user account. New Features in v4.1 Items in blue are specific to EDIUS Broadcast.  · XDCAM HD import, editing and export support (updated XDCAM select utility)  · Proxy editing of XDCAM SD and XDCAM HD content  · Background transfer of P2 material with P2 Select (when the transfer is completed, registered clips on the P2 card will be relinked to clips on the hard drive)  · Grass Valley K2 GXF export support  · When the In/Out points are set on the timeline, if a new clip is created on a timeline track (i.e., Creating a title on the T track), the new clip can be inserted between the In/Out points  · Audio can be converted directly to 16bit/2ch when capturing from a source that has differing audio properties  · Defaults can be set for Sync mode, Ripple mode, and Insert/Overwrite editing when starting new projects  · Added a realtime audio "Pitch Shifter" to the Audio Filters  · Destination folder and filenames can be specified before capturing video  · Added further information and import/export of video and audio file formats (import AVI2 Type1, import and export *.DV files, view metadata of WAV, Ogg and AVI files)
