How BirdDog X5 Ultra and mimoLive Simplified Live Production at NAB 2026
At NAB 2026, Boinx Software used mimoLive and three BirdDog X5 Ultra cameras to produce Creator Lab sessions live from the show floor, demonstrating how a compact, IP-based workflow can deliver professional results with a small crew. Running on a MacBook Pro, the production handled switching, graphics, recording, streaming, and PTZ camera control without the need for dedicated hardware or a large production team.
Using NDI connectivity, the BirdDog cameras integrated directly into mimoLive, allowing operators to control camera movement, automate graphics, and manage the entire production from a single interface. The project highlighted how modern software-defined workflows can simplify live production for education, corporate events, houses of worship, and content creators.
