I’d like to tell you about Datavideo’s new little TBC-5000/Matrix Switcher.
It’s a table top device, ½ rack wide and we’ve got a rack mount that can hold two of them side by side.
Part number:(RKM-DT).
The particular features that make it interesting are:
- The four inputs are analog Composite Video and or S-Video.
One input can be Composite while the next is S-Video. - It is RS-232 controllable so you can switch the inputs and outputs (gazinta’s and gazouta’s).
- You can gang/connect two of them for up to 8 input/outputs of genlocked sources.
- The genlock can be external (house synch) or internal.
Typical application (excerpt from a customer inquiry):
"...We are feeding our TV signal to other markets for their local broadcast. I want a simple solution to be able to insert a ‘legal ID’ from a looped player. I need to be able to send your box a simple code that tells it to switch from one to the other and then another code that tells it to switch back... and I want to be sure that I can use asynchronous sources..."
