It's time for LTO-8! Fujifilm & Sony Settle Patent Dispute
LTO-8 media has been on a long hiatus- with hardly any new developments. Imports on the product had been restricted due to a patent dispute between Sony and Fujifilm. However, this dispute is set to end in the United States Market.
Quantum Senior Director of Product Marketing, Eric Bassier, recently sent an email to customers with the statys of LTO-8.
“We are encouraging all customers that have pending requirements for LTO-8 media to book orders as soon as possible so we can effectively manage the queue of orders we have and expedite delivery as much as possible.”
