LiveU Enables Remote VAR Across Six Nations with Portable IP Production

The Oceania Football Confederation has introduced a new approach to Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR) by using LiveU's portable IP production technology. Instead of relying on permanent broadcast infrastructure, the deployment connects matches across six nations through a remote workflow with approximately one second of latency.

Using bonded cellular transmission and remote production tools, officials can review match incidents from a centralized location while reducing equipment requirements at each venue. The project demonstrates how portable IP technology can make professional VAR workflows more accessible for regional football competitions.
