LiveU Powers Amazon Prime’s Obsessed Fest With Social-First Live Production

Broadcast Management Group used the LiveU EcoSystem to deliver Amazon Prime’s inaugural Obsessed Fest as an eight-hour, TikTok-native live production from Hollywood. Built entirely in a 9:16 vertical format, the event was designed for social audiences from the start rather than repurposed from a traditional broadcast workflow.

The production used LiveU LU800 field units, LiveU IQ™ (LIQ™) connectivity, and LiveU Ingest to move 12 live camera feeds and 16 total records from Nya Studios in Hollywood to a centralized Network Operations Center in Washington, DC. There, BMG handled switching, replay, graphics, media management, and playout through a hybrid REMI workflow.

Despite heavy cellular congestion from the on-site crowd, LIQ dynamically managed available connections to keep roaming feeds stable. LiveU Ingest also gave a 20-person editorial team real-time access to footage while it was still being recorded, helping them quickly create and publish TikTok-ready clips throughout the event.

The result was a highly scalable social-first production that reached nearly 850,000 concurrent viewers, showing how cloud-based live production can help brands extend event reach far beyond the physical venue.
