Matrox Video and intoPIX Advance JPEG XS for Interoperable ST 2110 & IPMX Workflows at NAB 2025

This article covers Matrox Video and intoPIX at NAB 2025, and how they are unveiling next-generation IP video solutions powered by JPEG XS compression, accelerating the shift to interoperable, low-latency ST 2110 and IPMX workflows.

The highlight of this collaboration is the Matrox Vion 4K IP video gateway, a powerful tool for real-time encoding, decoding, and transcoding using JPEG XS. Designed for ultra-low latency and bandwidth efficiency, the Vion series joins the already JPEG XS-powered Matrox ConvertIP lineup—both now seamlessly integrating with intoPIX’s Titanium Software Apps (TitaniumShow & TitaniumViewer) for PCs and workstations.

By combining JPEG XS with IPMX and SMPTE ST 2110 standards, Matrox and intoPIX are offering a breakthrough in high-performance, cost-effective IP video transport for broadcasters, AV integrators, and media technologists.

“Our expanded JPEG XS portfolio ensures broadcasters and AV professionals have the tools they need for efficient, flexible, and interoperable IP workflows,” said Daniel Maloney, Technical Marketing Manager, Matrox Video.

“JPEG XS is now revolutionizing how media is transported over IP,” added Jean-Baptiste Lorent, Head of Media, Entertainment & ProAV at intoPIX. “Together with Matrox, we’re delivering seamless, high-quality, real-time video across affordable gigabit networks.”

These latest solutions successfully passed the IPMX interoperability tests conducted by the Video Services Forum, underscoring their reliability and standards compliance.
