Newtek NDI Module for Ninja V announced

The new Atomos's Ninja V is finally here and they have also released their new AtomX line. The AtomX Ethernet/NDI module built in collaboration with NewTek, sports a Gigabit Ethernet connector that allows live broadcast-quality video to be delivered over IP networks using the NDI protocol. Atomos has released their latest highly portable recording unit, the 5-inch Ninja V 4Kp60 HDMI/SDI HDR monitor/recorder. For video production, Ninja V offers connectivity with a wide range of cameras including the new mirrorless DSLRs. Ninja V can eliminate a camera’s internal compression and time limits – it can record up to 4Kp60 10-bit HDR video direct from a camera’s sensor over HDMI 2.0, and offers storage add-in options of up to 150 Tb. For gaming, Ninja V is a stand-alone system for 4k UHD, HDR and high frame rate capture that eliminates expensive, complicated and unreliable PC setups.

In addition to the release of Ninja V itself, two expansion modules for the unit’s AtomX expansion port are now available. One module provides NewTek NDI® connectivity and one provides wireless timecode, sync and Bluetooth control. The AtomX Ethernet/NDI module ($199), built in collaboration with NewTek, sports a Gigabit Ethernet connector that allows live broadcast-quality video to be delivered over IP networks using the NDI protocol.
