Pacers Sports & Entertainment Builds ST 2110 IP Control Center for Next-Gen Live Sports Production

Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PSE) has transformed production at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a SMPTE ST 2110–based control center designed for modern live sports broadcasting. Built to support NBA, WNBA, and large-scale events, the facility features two fully equipped control rooms, enabling scalable production for both in-venue shows and remote broadcasts.

The transition to IP workflows required a significant shift from traditional baseband systems, but PSE’s engineering team leveraged their experience to streamline the process. With tools like Panasonic Kairos switchers, EVS replay systems, and Ross Video graphics, the new infrastructure supports high camera counts, advanced replay, and real-time data integration.

This investment reflects a broader industry move toward IP-based production, where flexibility, scalability, and integration are critical. By adopting ST 2110, PSE has positioned itself to handle increasingly complex productions while maintaining consistent, high-quality output.
