PTZOptics' Cameras Enable Hybrid Remote Teaching

PTZOptics has shared a recent Partnership Success Story with Rosemont College. Rosemont College is a private, liberal arts college in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Located in Bryn Mawr, PA. When the pandemic hit educators all around the world were faced with a challenge. Rosemont College was prepared for the switch to remote and found the perfect solution for hybrid remote teaching. Rosemont's solution includes PTZOptics PTZ Cameras . Check out highlights from the Case Study below.

"In March 2020, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf mandated stay-at-home orders, and K-12 schools, colleges, and universities closed for the remainder of the semester. While many schools had to adopt technologies quickly for their reopening plans, Rosemont College was ready to accommodate students with previously implemented audiovisual technologies. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Rosemont college worked with Philadelphia-area integrator Haverford Systems on key technology integrations. Haverford's team retrofitted eight of Rosemont's older classrooms and library spaces with teaching and conferencing technologies. At the end of 2019, Rosemont also opened a newly constructed Community Center on campus that included five learning spaces to accommodate lecture collaboration and remote learning, all designed by Haverford systems. The Center also includes a boardroom with Zoom integrated for video and audio conferencing capabilities. While the school was closed, Dan Mason, Director of Information Technology at Rosemont College, said it was acquired some additional HuddleCamHD conferencing cameras that allowed Rosemont's smaller, non-traditional spaces to be able to offer remote access to remote faculty. "These are the spaces we turned to when we could welcome back in person instruction for the fall 2020 semester" said Mason. "These areas were easily configured to accommodate safe distancing and sanitizing practices.""
