PTZOptics Introduces Voice-Tracking Feature for Move 4K and Link 4K Cameras

At Integrated Systems Europe 2026, PTZOptics showcased a new voice-tracking feature for its PTZOptics Move 4K PTZ Camera and PTZOptics Link 4K Camera, introduced through a firmware update. Highlighted in a video produced by KitPlus, the technology demonstrates how audio-driven automation can simplify hands-free camera switching in conference rooms, meeting spaces, and live production environments.

The voice-tracking system works by pairing the cameras with beam-forming microphones that create audio zones within a room. When a speaker is detected in a specific zone, the system can automatically trigger camera switching or recall preset positions, allowing productions to run smoothly without manual camera control. This automation helps streamline workflows for hybrid meetings, presentations, and collaborative spaces.

The system can support up to around ten cameras depending on the configuration, though smaller setups can still benefit from the feature. Even a single camera can be configured with multiple presets to automatically frame different speaking positions, making it a flexible solution for organizations with limited budgets.

Because the voice-tracking functionality is built directly into the camera firmware, users do not need additional hardware from PTZOptics. The system integrates with popular live production software like vMix and OBS Studio, as well as hardware switching solutions such as the Eno Genie Automatic Camera Switcher.

To ensure reliable audio detection, PTZOptics is collaborating with leading microphone manufacturers including Audio-Technica, Shure, and Sennheiser. Online demonstrations are currently available through partner Nariva, with additional demos planned in collaboration with Audio-Technica and Sennheiser.

This new voice-tracking capability is designed to make automated camera control more accessible for modern conference rooms, classrooms, and collaborative production environments.
