William Rexer is a cinematographer on the hit Amazon Al Pacino show, Hunters. The show is shot with SIGMA Full Frame High Speed Prime and the RED Monstro 8K VV camera.
The RED Monstro is a high quality, cinema grade camera and an exciting addition to the digital cinema grade camera world.
FDTimes.com recently posted a great interview with William Rexer, about his work on Hunters, and how his gear helped create the shows look.
Let's take a look at some highlights form that interview, below.
How long were you working on HUNTERS?
There are ten episodes that took Rexer and the crew about twelve days each. Most of it was shot in New York, and eight days were spent shooting in Budapest. There were a variety of hard to shoot or trying conditions, cut out perfectly for the Monstro.
What Cameras were used and why were they Picked?
The show was shot on RED Monstro 8K VV cameras. This gave the crew the ability to shoot in 4K HDR. Although, HDR was not viewed on set, but rather in standard definition.
