Finding the right tool--for just the right price. Competitive video pros ride the bleeding edge, constantly looking for that right tool to expand their tool boxes and capabilities. But that tool doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg, and you might not have heard about the precise tool you're looking for. In this story, I crack open a Mac and a PC from my studio. These programs have all been in heavy use at RHED Pixel, so they're all proven, and I vouch for them. I drew the line at $100 for these tools, so everything you'll see (with one exception) is priced less than $100. And none of the tools I mention cause compatibility issues with our video edit systems and motion graphic systems, which consist primarily of Macs running OS X with Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress Pro, and Adobe After Effects; as well as Sony VAIOs running Windows XP for the Adobe Video Collection. read more...
