ShuttlePRO v2 Review
EditingWiz by Connor Crosby
Knowing keyboard shortcuts allow you to work faster than clicking and dragging your mouse. However, it can be tricky trying to memorize all sorts of keyboard shortcuts for several different applications. Luckily, Contour Design has come to the rescue with their ShuttlePRO v2.
The ShuttlePRO v2 has 15 programmable buttons, which come with stickers to help as a guide. Also, the Shuttle features a jog knob and shuttle wheel so you can easily skim through media. It has a sleek design overall and allows me to comfortably edit for long periods of time.
Contour Design’s ShuttlePRO v2 comes pre-configured with a huge list of popular applications – anything from Final Cut Pro (legacy and X) to After Effects to Photoshop! I’ve mainly used the ShuttlePRO v2 in Final Cut Pro 7 and X and it seems to run very well. I love how easy it is to both set up and use. Another key feature is the ability to keep my configuration the same for all my video editing software. I can switch from Final Cut Pro 7 to Final Cut Pro X to After Effects to Premiere Pro and keep my buttons the same!
