Singapore Polytechnic Builds Future-Ready AV Education with AJA BRIDGE LIVE and NDI Workflows
Share

Singapore Polytechnic is modernizing its audiovisual education program by adopting IP-based production workflows that reflect the future of broadcast and ProAV. Working alongside system integrator IDEAL Systems, the institution developed an advanced NDI-powered production studio that gives students hands-on experience with both traditional SDI infrastructure and modern IP technologies. At the core of the workflow is AJA BRIDGE LIVE, enabling seamless conversion between SDI, SRT, and NDI for more flexible and scalable production environments.
The studio is designed around real-world production scenarios, allowing students to manage and stream live events from multiple remote locations. Mobile production racks equipped with cameras, audio systems, and SRT connectivity can send content from up to six different locations back to a centralized control room. AJA BRIDGE LIVE then converts incoming SRT feeds into NDI for live switching, graphics, and distribution, helping students gain experience with remote and hybrid production workflows increasingly used across the industry.
By integrating NDI and IP-based technologies into the curriculum, Singapore Polytechnic is preparing students for evolving broadcast and AV careers. The workflow reduces cabling complexity, lowers infrastructure costs, and creates a more scalable production environment while giving students direct exposure to the tools and workflows shaping modern content creation.
