He and Adam Noyes go through the whole Videoguys Live studio discussing what products and techniques they use to make the live webinars happen! What you missed is a load of good and detailed information and tips on what is done behind the scenes to make the live shows. Making live content always brings great challenges, and along the way both hosts bring up some interesting and helpful tips on making your live broadcast the best it can be. TC1 First discussed was the NewTek TC1. This lets Adam and Oliver do all their live editing. This ranges from live graphics, multiple cameras, and even transitions. Wowza Clearcaster When streaming to Facebook, Videoguys uses the Wowza Clearcaster. This enables them to broadcast their streams to Facebook without having to use the TC1's power. This allows them to also stream to YouTube using the TC1. Basically they are streaming to two places for the price of one. Cameras Videoguys uses three cameras. The first is their Sony XDCam which is their main wide. Then comes their NewTek PTZ1 Camera linked with SDI & NDI capabilities allowing full control with the TC1 joystick. Finally the PTZOptics Z-Cam is used for all overhead shots involving products. Confidence Monitor Using the Atomos Sumo as a confidence monitor has "...saved their butts," on more than one occasion. Not only does it record exactly what the TC1 is displaying, but also have fantastic color qualities. The Sumo is fully WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) so Garry and the crew know exactly what is being delivered as it is delivered. Lighting Shooting in front of a green screen requires a lot of lighting. With six lights, Videoguys achieve what they desire. Adam also discusses the importance of using daylight (5600k) lights to get the true green out of the background. It will help with matting later on. NDI Scan Converter Through an NDI Scan Converter, things from Garry's computer can be shown on the TC1 and broadcast out for the world to see. This lets them cut to important information on the Power Points and allows customers to get the important information they need without taking down the stream. Audio Mixing We also address the right way to mix your audio while keeping things simple. We use a Roland VR22 mixer.
