Since that time, Avid has developed a wide range of products for both Windows and Mac operating systems. With the latest releases of Avid Xpress Pro (Mac: v4.8) and Avid Media Composer Adrenaline (Mac: v1.8), the company has taken the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the Mac platform. Avid decided to go beyond mere compatibility with Apple's Tiger (Mac OS X v10.4) operating system by incorporating some of Tiger's advanced features in its nonlinear editors. Avid is the only high-profile audio and video manufacturer that continues to develop a range of cross-platform (Mac and PC) products that offer rough parity in their feature sets.
