Tapeless HD Workflows
Today's professional & broadcast edit suites must support both uncompressed HD footage (Component and or HD-SDI I/O) as well tapeless workflows such as Panasonic P2, Sony XD Cam, DSLRs and Red. This is why it is very important to invest in video editing solutions that support your particular workflows. Many professional video editing environments require support for multiple workflows including uncompressed SD & HD, tapeless, HDV, DV and intermediary formats such as Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD and Cineform. This can be quite overwhelming, so you want to take the time to make sure you understand the complexities and issues facing all of the formats you may work with. The Videoguys are here to help you figure out not only what workflows work best for you, but what hardware and software wil get the job done for you.
