Adobe CS6 is here!

On May 7th, Adobe set the industry on fire with the release of Adobe Creative Suite 6. We have great deals for you on CS6 Production Premium and CS6 Master Collection, including full retail boxed versions and upgrade licenses. http://www.webvideoguys.com/cs6shipping.html

All CS6 Upgrades are now only available as downloadable licenses and may be requested right here at Videoguys.com. There are several advantages to Adobe Licenses including the ability to download your software for either PC or Mac and have it pre-registered with Adobe.

What are our favorite new features in CS6? There are too many to go into here, but we'll list a few to whet your appetite.

1. New cleaner GUI for Premeire Pro - similar to the graphical user

interface you know, but streamlined for today's editor

2. Warp Stabilizer built into Premeire Pro - now with Mercury Playback

support

3. New After Effects engine takes full advantage of increased RAM,

multiple Cores and GPU

4. Mercury Transmit will allow full Mercury Playback support with 3rd

party hardware. (This does require updated CS6 drivers from the hardware

vendors)

5. Check out Videoguys Guide to CS6 Production Premium for more details

Avid Symphony 6 for only $995!!

At last year's NAB show Avid launched a special Media Composer Crossgrade program for Final Cut Pro editors to come back to Avid for just $995. That program was a huge success! Now Avid is upping the ante and going all in by making the same offer for you to crossgrade to Avid Symphony 6! That's right, FCP editors may now crossgrade to Avid Symphony 6 for only $995!

That's more than $5,000 off the regular Avid Symphony price of $5,999. Any version of Final Cut Pro prior to Final Cut Pro X is eligible for this crossgrade promotion. A valid Final Cut Pro serial number will be required for validation. Just complete a simple crossgrade form and provide your Final Cut Pro serial number when you place your order. You may continue to use your Final Cut Pro software. FCPX does not qualify for the crossgrade price. You can read all about Avid Symphony and our crossgrade offer on Videoguys' Avid Symphony FAQ at http://tinyurl.com/8yeepow

Another exciting program that Avid announced another at NAB was the Mojo/Nitris DX trade-up. Trade in your old Avid Mojo, Mojo SDI, or Adrenaline hardware towards a new Avid Mojo DX or Nitris DX and get a free upgrade to Media Composer 6! We like this promo, but we wanted to kick it up a notch and make it something every Avid editor will love, so Videoguys' added in the ability to trade in your old hardware and upgrade to the latest Avid hardware bundled with Symphony 6 upgrade for just $500 more! That get's you Avid NitrisDX with the Symphony 6 upgrade for just $5,999.

Attention Nitris Classic owners: Trade in your old Nitris classic towards NitrisDX ($5,499) and get a FREE upgrade to Symphony 6!

New Low Prices on G-Tech G-RAIDs!

If you've been a fan or customer of Videoguys over the years, then you know that our go to recommendation for external video storage are the G-Tech G-RAIDs. G-RAIDs are stylish, external RAID devices that have unsurpassed reliability and performance. They attach to your Laptop or Workstation via eSata, USB2 or Firewire 800/400.

G-RAIDs have been our top recommendation since they were first introduced and we awarded it Top New Product in 2004. The G-Tech GRAID 4th Generation keeps up their tradition of excellence and once again shows why they are the defacto standard for video editing storage. We recommend and bundle G-RAIDs with all our NLE software including Adobe CS6 Production Premium & Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer & Symphony 6, Sony Vegas Pro 11, Grass Valley EDIUS and of course Apple Final Cut Pro and FCPX.

G-RAIDs are available in 2TB ($265.99), 4TB ($379.99) and 6TB ($569.99) sizes. The new 8TB ($749.95) solutions are expected to ship later this month and we are accepting pre-orders now. Videoguys.com also offers an exclusive bundle of the G-RAID 4TB model together with the Red Giant Magic Bullet Quick Looks software (a $90 value) for just $399!! G-Tech announced at NAB that the new Thunderbolt series of G-RAIDs had begun shipping, but we do not have them available yet. We hope to get our first shipment of Thunderbolt G-RAIDs at the end of June, and we will begin taking back orders on or about June 1st. NVIDIA Quadro 4000 by PNY Mail-in Rebates!

PNY has just launched a mail-in rebate program for the NVIDIA Quadro 4000 by PNY graphic boards. You can save an additional $60 on the Quadro 4000 for Mac by PNY ($799 - 60 = $739 after rebate) or $50 on the Quadro 4000 for PC by PNY ($799 - 50 = $749 after rebate). Videoguys recommends the NVIDIA Quadro 4000 by PNY for your NLE workstation running Avid (Media Composer or Symphony), Adobe (CS5, CS5.5. or CS6) or for power users who need the highest level of both CUDA and OpenGL performance.

NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac by PNY is a great way to extend the life and performance of your old, reliable Mac Pro. Let's face it; we have no idea when or if Apple will ever release new Mac Pros. At NAB one of the common theme's at booths all over the show was the concern that not only had Apple abandoned FCP users, they were going to abandon the Mac Pro platform as well. We don't know what Apple will do, but we do know that putting an NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac by PNY in your existing Mac Pro is a great move, especially if you are also planning to migrate to either Avid or Adobe. With Adobe CS5 or later, the Quadro 4000 will light up the Mercury Playback engine and give you a dramatic performance boost when working with native HD files such as AVCHD or DSLR footage.
