Today Adobe made the huge announcement that they will be acquiring Frame.io for $1.275 Billion. The deal is sure to have major implications for the industry.
Frame.io focuses on post production and a way to capture data live on set with their camera to cloud system. The integration between Premiere Pro and Frame.io makes for a great post production creative workflow.
Frame.io supports roughly 1 million users to date, and this acquisition will accelerate growth with Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other programs within Creative Cloud. They will also continue to support Final Cut Pro, AVID Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve.
