Atomos AtomX CAST Turns The Ninja V Into a Multi-Camera Switcher

With the new realease of the Atomos AtomX CAST, you can now turn your Ninja V or Ninja V+ into a multi-input switcher. The new AtomX CAST is a modular companion for the Atomos Ninja V or Ninja V+ monitor-recorder that uses the AtomX expansion port on the Ninja V/V+ to transform it into an advanced multi-input switcher. The combination of the Ninja V and AtomX CAST becomes the Ninja CAST, a fully functional stand-alone switcher, multiview monitor and broadcast quality recorder that does not require a computer to function. 

Videomaker goes over how the AtomX CAST turn the Ninja V into a switcher in their recently article. Videomaker says "pairing the AtomX CAST with the Ninja V or V+ (a setup Atomos named the Ninja CAST) turns the monitor/recorder into a 5” touchscreen monitor with four HDMI inputs and physical buttons. The component connects to the monitors through the AtomX expansion port. Once connected, you can hook up cameras, computers, consoles, pre-recorded content sources or any valid video source and share them on your broadcast. You switch between the sources using the monitor’s touchscreen or buttons. Additionally, you can also overlay graphics and use and picture-in-picture — boosting the production value of your video."
