Corvid 88 supports 4K, 2K, HD, and SD workflows, with SDI connections that can be linked for Dual Link and 4K/UltraHD applications. The CRV88-9-T provides up to eight independent 3G-SDI channels, 4K-capable processing, embedded audio, mixer/keyer functionality, LTC, Reference, and RS-422 device control.

This CRV88-9-T configuration includes 9x AJA 101999-02 cables and features a standard-height PCIe bracket.

High-Density 8-Channel SDI I/O

The Corvid 88 expands on the multi-channel architecture of the Corvid family with eight SDI connections on a single PCIe card. AJA Developer Partner applications can access up to eight simultaneous input and output streams, making the card well suited for high-density ingest and playout servers, broadcast systems, and channel-in-a-box applications.

Each BNC connection can be configured programmatically as either an input or output. Individual channels can support different video formats as long as they use the same master clock timing, providing flexibility for mixed-format workflows.

4K, 2K, HD, and SD Support

Corvid 88 supports professional 4K, 2K, HD, and SD video formats. SDI connections can be linked for Dual Link or 4K/UltraHD workflows, allowing the card to handle higher-resolution applications while retaining the flexibility needed for multi-channel HD and SD systems.

High Frame Rate Video

The CRV88-9-T supports 3G-SDI High Frame Rate (HFR) workflows, including 4K and UltraHD applications at 48p, 50p, and 60p. Multiple 720p and 1080p HD inputs and outputs are also supported at frame rates up to 50p and 60p.

12-Bit RGB and 10-Bit YCbCr

Corvid 88 supports a range of professional frame buffer formats, including 8- and 10-bit YCbCr and 12-bit RGB. This provides the processing flexibility required for broadcast, post-production, ingest, playout, and other professional video applications.

Mixer, Keyer, and Video Processing

Built-in processing provides additional functionality without requiring separate hardware. Corvid 88 includes:

Corvid 88 features independent 16-channel, 48 kHz SDI embedded audio I/O engines for multi-channel audio workflows. Across the card's SDI connections, the architecture supports up to 64 channels of embedded audio, providing substantial audio capacity for high-density ingest and playout systems.

LTC and Reference Synchronization

The Corvid 88 provides an external, switchable LTC/Reference input for professional synchronization. Reference support includes analog Color Black and HD Tri-Level Sync.

A second LTC input is available through an internal header for additional system flexibility.

RS-422 Device Control

A built-in RS-422 connection enables control of external devices for frame-accurate ingest and layoff workflows. The full-height Corvid 88 configuration provides the RS-422 connection through the card's external connection.

Standard-Height PCIe Configuration

The CRV88-9-T uses a tall, standard-height PCIe bracket, making it suited for compatible full-height server and workstation chassis. This configuration is specifically supplied with the standard PCIe bracket and cable package.
