4-Channel 3G-SDI to Fiber Conversion

The AJA FiDO-4T provides four independent SDI-to-fiber conversion paths in a compact Mini-Converter. It accepts four 3G-SDI inputs and converts them to single-mode fiber for long-distance signal transport.

The transmitter also supports HD-SDI and SD-SDI, making it compatible with a broad range of professional video equipment and production workflows.

The four independent channels provide a convenient solution for transporting multiple camera or video signals from a production location to a centralized broadcast or production system.

Long-Distance Single-Mode Fiber Transmission

FiDO-4T supports transmission distances of up to 10 km (32,808 ft) using standard single-mode fiber optic cable. Fiber allows professional SDI signals to travel long distances without the distance limitations associated with traditional copper SDI cabling.

The transmitter supports four simplex or two duplex LC fiber connections, providing flexibility when designing fiber-based video infrastructure.

4K and UltraHD-SDI Over Fiber

A locking power connector helps prevent accidental power disconnection. An optional P-TAP power cable can also provide battery-powered operation for remote production applications.
