Professional HD/SD Video I/O

The KONA LHe Plus supports professional video capture, playback, and monitoring for broadcast and post-production workflows. Its SDI input and dual outputs support HD and SD video, with embedded audio for streamlined signal routing.

The card also supports analog video connections, allowing production systems to work with compatible legacy equipment alongside digital SDI sources and destinations.

Convenient Rackmount Connectivity with KL-BOX-LH-R0

The included KL-BOX-LH-R0 breakout box extends access to the KONA LHe Plus connections, making it easier to integrate the card into rack-based production environments.

The breakout box provides convenient access to video and audio connections, including BNC digital AES/EBU connectors and RCA audio monitoring jacks. It also supports compatible reference and RS-422 machine-control connections, helping simplify equipment setup and operation.

Real-Time HD-to-SD Conversion

Integrated hardware conversion enables real-time, 10-bit HD-to-SD down-conversion during capture or playback. This is useful for workflows that require standard-definition output while working with HD video, including monitoring and multi-format delivery.

The KONA LHe Plus also supports 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:2 workflows and 10-bit LUTs using .cube files.

Flexible Audio and Video Workflows

The KONA LHe Plus supports embedded SDI audio, two-channel AES/EBU digital audio, and two-channel balanced analog audio I/O through the appropriate connections. Analog video support includes component, composite, and S-Video formats.
