The AJA KONA LHe Plus is a professional HD/SD video and audio I/O card designed for broadcast, post-production, ProAV, and OEM applications. It supports SDI and analog video connections, embedded and external audio, and real-time HD-to-SD down-conversion for flexible video capture, playback, and monitoring workflows.

This board-only configuration does not include a PCI bracket or breakout cable, making it suitable for OEM installations and specialized system builds where these components are sourced separately.

Professional HD/SD Video Capture and Playback

The KONA LHe Plus provides dependable video I/O for professional production and post-production systems. Capture HD or SD video through SDI or supported analog connections, output video to monitors and other equipment, and use pass-through monitoring during capture.

Its combination of digital and analog connectivity helps support workflows involving modern production equipment and legacy video sources.

Flexible Digital and Analog Connectivity

With one SDI input and two SDI outputs, the KONA LHe Plus supports video capture, playback, and monitoring. Embedded SDI audio provides up to eight channels, while separate AES/EBU and balanced analog audio connections support additional professional audio workflows when used with the appropriate breakout hardware.

Analog video connections support component, composite, and S-Video configurations. Reference/LTC and RS-422 connectivity help accommodate synchronization and machine-control requirements.

Real-Time HD-to-SD Conversion

Integrated hardware conversion enables real-time HD-to-SD down-conversion, helping simplify workflows that require both HD and standard-definition output. The card also supports 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:2 video and 10-bit LUTs for professional image processing.

OEM Board-Only Configuration

This version is supplied without a PCI bracket or breakout cable. Confirm that your chassis, mounting requirements, and cabling are compatible before ordering. Additional hardware may be required to access the card's external video, audio, reference, and control connections.
