Flexible Analog and Digital Video I/O

The KONA LHi bridges analog and digital production equipment in one versatile video I/O card. Connect compatible HDMI cameras, HD-SDI VTRs, and legacy analog video devices to support capture, editing, monitoring, and mastering workflows.

Its combination of HDMI, SDI, and analog connectivity makes it useful for facilities that work with different video formats and generations of production equipment.

Real-Time Hardware Up-, Down-, and Cross-Conversion

The KONA LHi provides broadcast-quality, motion-adaptive SD-to-HD up-conversion, HD-to-SD down-conversion, and HD-to-HD cross-conversion. These conversions are processed in hardware and remain available during video ingest and playback.

Independent output configuration allows simultaneous HD and SD output or two HD output formats, such as 720 and 1080, when supported by the selected configuration.

HDMI with Deep Color and Analog Video Support

HDMI v1.3a input and output support Deep Color at 30- and 36-bit color depths. The card also supports 12-bit HD analog component input and output, plus 12-bit SD analog component, composite, and S-Video connections.

These options help integrate modern digital sources with analog video equipment in production and post-production environments.

Professional Audio and Synchronization

The KONA LHi supports eight-channel embedded SDI audio input and output, along with two-channel balanced XLR AES digital audio and two-channel balanced XLR analog audio input and output.

HD/SD genlock, RS-422 machine control, and LTC input through the reference connection provide additional support for synchronized production and tape-based workflows.

Included Breakout Cable and Optional Breakout Box

The KONA LHi includes a breakout cable for accessing its additional I/O connections. For installations that benefit from rackmount access, an optional breakout box adds convenient external connectivity, including BNC digital AES/EBU connectors and RCA audio monitoring jacks.
