The AJA KUMO 3232 is a compact 32x32 3G-SDI router designed for professional broadcast, live production, post-production, mobile production, and corporate video environments. With 32 3G-SDI inputs and 32 3G-SDI outputs, KUMO 3232 provides flexible signal routing in a compact 2RU chassis.

The router supports 3G-SDI, 1.5G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI workflows and can group inputs and outputs for Dual Link and Quad Link 4K/UltraHD routing.

32x32 SDI Routing for Professional Video

KUMO 3232 provides a 32x32 crosspoint routing matrix, allowing any input to be routed to one or multiple outputs. This makes it possible to manage complex SDI signal distribution without requiring additional patch panels or distribution amplifiers.

A single source can also be routed to multiple outputs, allowing KUMO 3232 to function as a flexible SDI distribution solution for professional video facilities.

3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI Support

The KUMO 3232 supports professional 3G-SDI, 1.5G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI signals, including single-link 1080p, HD, SD, high-frame-rate, and deep-color formats.

For 4K and UltraHD production, inputs and outputs can be configured for ganged dual-link or quad-link routing, allowing multiple SDI connections to be grouped together for higher-resolution workflows.

Flexible 4K and UltraHD Routing

KUMO 3232 can adapt to changing production requirements. Configure the router for standard single-link HD-SDI or SD-SDI routing, or group ports for Dual Link and Quad Link 4K/UltraHD workflows.

This flexibility makes KUMO 3232 suitable for facilities transitioning between HD and higher-resolution production systems.

Network and Remote Router Control

KUMO 3232 features an embedded web server for network-based configuration, control, and monitoring. Connect the router to your network and access its control interface from a web browser without requiring additional control software.

The USB port also allows IP address configuration using AJA eMini-Setup software on PC or Mac.

KUMO routers can also integrate with existing infrastructure using Grass Valley Native Protocol over RS-422 or Ethernet.

KUMO CP and KUMO CP2 Control Panels

For tactile, computer-free operation, KUMO 3232 is compatible with the AJA KUMO CP and KUMO CP2 control panels.

A single KUMO control panel can control up to four KUMO routers on the network, providing convenient access to source and destination routing from a dedicated hardware interface.

Salvos and Presets

KUMO 3232 supports salvos, allowing operators to save predefined groups of routing commands and recall them quickly when needed. Up to eight salvos can be stored per router.

The router also supports presets for saving configuration settings such as switching modes, crosspoint maps, source and destination button settings, and salvo configurations.

Compact 2RU SDI Router

Despite providing 32 inputs and 32 outputs, KUMO 3232 uses a compact 2RU chassis that fits easily into broadcast racks, mobile production trucks, edit facilities, studios, and corporate video systems.

Its compact design provides a practical balance between SDI routing capacity, system flexibility, and rack space.
