The AJA OG-FiDO-TR is a 1-channel 3G-SDI to single-mode LC fiber transceiver designed for professional openGear video systems. It supports both 3G-SDI-to-fiber and fiber-to-3G-SDI conversion, providing flexible bidirectional signal transport over single-mode fiber.

The OG-FiDO-TR supports SDI and fiber transmission distances of up to 10 km (32,808 ft) and handles video data rates from 150 Mbps to 3 Gbps. It features automatic signal detection and reclocking, HDR metadata pass-through, and remote configuration and monitoring through Ross DashBoard software.

Designed for high-density openGear 2RU frames, the OG-FiDO-TR is compatible with AJA OG-X-FR, OG-3-FR, and DFR-8321 frames, making it suitable for broadcast facilities, production studios, mobile production, and other professional video environments.

Bidirectional 3G-SDI and Fiber Conversion

The OG-FiDO-TR provides flexible two-way 3G-SDI and fiber conversion in a single openGear card. It can convert a 3G-SDI signal to single-mode fiber or convert a fiber signal back to 3G-SDI, depending on the production workflow.

Both signal paths operate independently and can support different data rates. The card supports common SDI rates including 270 Mbps, 1.483 Gbps, 1.485 Gbps, 2.966 Gbps, and 2.970 Gbps, with automatic rate selection.

The result is a flexible solution for professional SDI fiber transport where space, signal reliability, and centralized system management are important.

10 km Single-Mode Fiber Transmission

The AJA OG-FiDO-TR supports transmission distances of up to 10 km (32,808 ft) using standard single-mode fiber. This makes it useful for connecting video equipment across broadcast facilities, production studios, venues, mobile production environments, and other locations where long-distance SDI transport is required.

The card supports a single-mode LC fiber connection and provides both fiber input and output for flexible signal routing.

Automatic Detection and Reclocking

The OG-FiDO-TR provides automatic signal detection and reclocking for both SDI and fiber paths. Its input design provides strong input jitter tolerance to help maintain signal integrity throughout professional video workflows.

Supported 3G-SDI rates include 270 Mbps, 1.5 Gbps, and 3 Gbps, allowing the card to accommodate a range of SDI production formats.

HDR Metadata Pass-Through

The OG-FiDO-TR supports SDI metadata pass-through, including HDR metadata, helping preserve important signal information during SDI and fiber conversion.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) provides a wider range of brightness and color than Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), allowing compatible production systems to maintain brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and richer color detail.

openGear Compatibility

The OG-FiDO-TR is designed for the openGear modular infrastructure platform, allowing it to be installed in compatible high-density openGear frames.
