Description

Kiloview U4 IP Video Decoder Dock

The Kiloview U4 IP Video Decoder Dock is a compact hardware IP video decoder designed to bring professional network video into meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, studios, and ProAV environments. U4 decodes NDI, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP, and HLS streams and converts them to USB UVC/UAC, HDMI, and DisplayPort outputs.

With support for up to 4K60 video, U4 provides a simple way to connect IP video sources to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, OBS, displays, projectors, and local monitoring systems without relying on software-based virtual cameras or separate conversion devices.

Key Features

  • Multi-protocol IP video decoding: NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP, and HLS
  • USB UVC/UAC output: Bring IP video and audio directly into compatible meeting and production applications
  • 4K60 HDMI output: Connect IP video to displays, projectors, monitors, and other HDMI equipment
  • DisplayPort output: Use USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for local monitoring and confidence displays
  • Triple output: Send the same IP video source to USB, HDMI, and DisplayPort simultaneously
  • Hardware decoding: Dedicated decoding reduces processing demands on the connected computer
  • Plug-and-play UC workflows: Works with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, OBS, and other UVC-compatible applications
  • Gigabit Ethernet: Connect professional IP video sources through the network
  • USB-C power: Power U4 from a computer or USB-C PD adapter
  • Up to 100 presets: Quickly recall commonly used video workflows
  • Flexible control: USB keyboard shortcuts, API access, and third-party control support
  • Centralized management: Configure individual units through Web UI or USB NET, or manage multiple devices using KiloLink Server Pro
  • Compact design: Approximately 100 × 62 × 18 mm for easy installation in meeting rooms, classrooms, studios, and mobile systems

Bring Professional IP Video Into Everyday Workflows

Professional video is increasingly delivered over IP, but many everyday meeting platforms and displays are not designed to accept network video directly. Kiloview U4 bridges that gap by converting IP video streams into familiar USB, HDMI, and DisplayPort connections.

Connect an IP PTZ camera, NDI device, encoder, switcher, media server, or remote video stream to U4 and output the video directly to a meeting computer, room display, projector, or monitoring screen.

This hardware-based approach can simplify installations by reducing the need for virtual camera software, software decoders, and multiple conversion devices.

Decode NDI, SRT, RTSP and More

U4 supports a broad range of professional IP video protocols, making it suitable for mixed AV over IP environments.

Supported protocols include:

  • NDI High Bandwidth
  • NDI HX2
  • NDI HX3
  • SRT
  • RTSP
  • RTMP
  • UDP
  • RTP
  • HLS

This flexibility allows U4 to work with video from a wide range of networked cameras, encoders, production equipment, streaming systems, and remote sources.

Connect IP Video to Zoom, Teams and OBS via USB-C

U4 converts IP video into a standard USB UVC/UAC device, allowing a connected computer to recognize the source as a USB video and audio device.

Use U4 to bring professional IP video into applications such as:

  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Google Meet
  • OBS
  • Other UVC-compatible video applications

The USB-C connection provides a straightforward path from an IP video source to the meeting or production computer without requiring additional virtual camera software or drivers.

4K60 HDMI and DisplayPort Output

Not every display or projector can receive IP video directly. U4 converts network video into standard display connections, with HDMI and DisplayPort output supporting up to 4K60 video.

Connect U4 to:

  • Meeting room displays
  • Classroom projectors
  • Auditorium screens
  • Large-format displays
  • Confidence monitors
  • Local production monitors
  • Other HDMI or DisplayPort-compatible displays

Instead of extending a dedicated video cable from the source to the display, IP video can travel across the network and be decoded locally at the display location.

One IP Source, Three Outputs

U4 can send the same IP video source to USB, HDMI, and DisplayPort simultaneously, allowing one network video feed to serve multiple purposes.

  • USB for Meetings: Connect to a computer running Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, OBS, or another compatible application.
  • HDMI for Displays: Send video to a conference room display, projector, lectern monitor, or large screen.
  • DisplayPort for Monitoring: Use USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for a local preview or confidence monitor.

This makes U4 particularly useful when a single IP video source needs to support meetings, room displays, and local monitoring at the same time.

Dedicated Hardware IP Video Decoding

U4 performs IP video decoding in dedicated hardware rather than relying entirely on the host computer. This helps reduce the processing workload on the connected PC, leaving more system resources available for meetings, presentations, recording, content sharing, and collaboration applications.

For integrators and IT teams, hardware decoding can also provide a more predictable deployment than workflows that depend on software decoders or virtual camera applications.

Easy Power and Network Connectivity

U4 features Gigabit Ethernet for network connectivity and USB-C power for flexible installation.

The device can be powered from a connected host computer or a USB-C PD power adapter, helping simplify cabling in meeting rooms, classrooms, studios, and mobile AV systems.

Flexible Control and Presets

For installations that require repeatable workflows, U4 supports up to 100 presets, along with USB keyboard shortcuts, API access, and third-party control support.

Presets can help users quickly recall common configurations and simplify daily operation in environments where the same IP video sources need to be accessed repeatedly.

Web UI and Centralized Device Management

U4 provides several options for configuration and management. Users can configure the device through its Web UI, access settings through USB NET, or manage multiple U4 devices centrally using KiloLink Server Pro.

This gives AV and IT teams flexibility when deploying a single U4 or managing multiple IP video decoder docks across larger installations.

Compact IP Video Decoder for ProAV and UC

Measuring approximately 100 × 62 × 18 mm, Kiloview U4 has a compact form factor that fits easily into meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, studios, and mobile production environments.

Its combination of IP video decoding, USB UVC/UAC, 4K60 HDMI, DisplayPort, network connectivity, and centralized management makes U4 a flexible bridge between professional IP video systems and everyday meeting and display equipment.
