ADOBE UPDATE BRINGS RICH VIDEO FEATURES

One of the strengths of Adobe Creative Cloud is that users receive immediate access to updates as they are released. Adobe has consistently updated the software, with frequent minor updates and some major ones as well. A recent update indicates that users will be able to simultaneously install different versions of Adobe Creative Cloud. Now the time of versioning is here as Adobe releases Adobe Creative Cloud 2014, available to all subscribers. The newest release contains some major updates for video professionals.
Adobe Premiere Pro CC
Adobe Premiere Pro CC is the central hub of the Adobe suite of video applications, this is evidenced in how Adobe has increased the functionality of Premiere Pro and improved on its integration with other CC applications. The 2014 update allows video editors to now perform tasks in Premiere Pro that would have required them to exit Premiere in the past. Users can build a motion graphic template in Adobe After Effects CC, import and place it into Premiere Pro, and change text elements while still inside Premiere without having to go back to After Effects. Likewise users can apply masks and track objects right in Premiere Pro, as well as apply effects to only the masked portions of a video clip. These new features will save editors a great amount of time in not having to round trip their footage for multiple post-production processes. It should be noted that the functionality in Premiere is specific to the needs and workflow of an editor, it doesn’t replace the heavy lifting required by a visual effects artist in After Effects. In fact, many of the new tasks applied in Premiere Pro can be carried over to After Effects CC for more refined work.
