Only Avid Artist I/O enables you to capture high-quality recordings through direct audio punch-ins to the Media Composer® timeline using the front-panel XLR microphone input. Each interface also provides 48V of phantom power, so you can use condenser mics without requiring a separate audio interface or power supply.

BOOST YOUR BANDWIDTH

Experience exceptional performance, highly accurate time sync, and ultra-low latency—even with bandwidth-intensive 4K workflows. All interfaces feature lightning-fast Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, providing transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s to your Mac or Windows-based host computer (Avid Artist | DNxIQ also offers optional PCIe connectivity).

MONITOR SURROUND SOUND MIXES

No need to connect a separate audio monitoring solution into your workflow. You can monitor 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound mixes using any of the interfaces. Avid Artist | DNxIQ offers 8 channels of audio through SDI and HDMI (embedded audio). Avid Artist | DNxIV and DNxIP deliver 8 channels of audio through a DB25 audio connection (breakout cable sold separately). And Artist | DNxID provides 8 channels of audio through HDMI. In addition, you can use DNxIQ and DNxIV with Pro Tools for video playback to a monitor to mix audio and compose music to picture, as well as edit dialog, ADR, and Foley.
