NDI (Network Device Interface) is a technology developed by NewTek that allows for the transmission of low-latency video over IP networks. It is designed to be used in a variety of settings, including streaming, conferencing, and broadcast environments. NDI uses a network standard to transmit video, which allows other information (such as commands and tally) to be sent to the camera over the same connection. The NDI technology is available for free from NewTek, and plugins are available for OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), a popular open-source software for video recording and live streaming.

NDI|HX is a version of NDI developed by NewTek that includes the latest version of the technology and features increased compression. It is available as a 4K PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) camera, which allows for remote control of the camera's movement and focus. NDI is now used by a variety of manufacturers, including Lumens, Marshal, Panasonic, PTZ Optics, and Sony.
