The LaCie Rugged SSD Pro is IP67 rated and ruggedized. For a lot of markets this drive will seem like storage overkill, but for the filmmaker on the go who uses a lot of data in very demanding situations, this is a perfect solution.

Design and Specs

There are several options for storage capacities for the Rugged SSD Pro. This drive is available in 1TB ($419.99), 2TB ($739.99). When it comes to sizing, the Rugged SSD Pro is 3.85-inches by 2.55-inches and is 0.7-inches thick. It's very compact and can fit in your pocket or backpack, without worrying about damaging the hardware.

The Rugged SSD Pro is also very fast, reading and writing well over 2GB per second. In a write test of 450GB, the drive never slowed or faltered. There are no moving parts to slow this drive down, and it will not overheat.
