PTZOptics Introduces The New PT-JOY-G4 PTZ Controller and Expands NDI Support

PTZOptics and HuddleCamHD has recently released exciting news for the industry. First PTZOptics' new joystick controller, the PT-JOY-G4, a legacy-friendly controller designed to easily integrate into a wide array of existing production systems, and even allows users to switch between protocols with the touch of a button. HuddleCamHD, PTZOptics' sister company also announced the rollout of NDI to their SimplTrack2 and HuddleView cameras. 

PT-JOY-G4 Controller

The PT-JOY-G4 is compatible with most PTZ cameras operating serial or IP protocol, including Sony. Some important features includes 255 camera presets, VISCA over IP & Serial control and more. 

HuddleCamHD NDI Rollout

The firmware update brings NDI|HX capabilities to HuddleCamHD's SimplTrack 2 and Huddleview cameras. Matt Davis, director of technology and information systems at PTZOptics says "Our enterprise customers have been clamoring for this. And for good reason. Now, they’ll be able to manage hundreds of cameras—or send feeds to hundreds of endpoints—centrally and securely, using their existing local area network infrastructure."

Paul Richards, marketing director for PTZOptics and HuddelCamHD has released the book The Unofficial Guide to NDI. According to Church Production " This book provides an introduction to NDI and a deep dive into currently available technologies and tools for IP video production. The book is accompanied by an online course with further explanation on complex topics and real-world examples."
