AJA's 16-Channel AES/EBU Audio Embedder/Disembedder is a 16-channel AES/EBU audio embedder/disembedder openGear card with support for 12G-SDI input and output up to 4K/UltraHD.
AES/EBU Audio embedding and disembedding is user selectable, on a channel pair basis, to either disembed 12G-SDI input audio or to embed input AES/EBU audio. It uses BNC connectors that can be set to perform audio input or output functionality.

Designed for use in high density openGear 2RU frames, including AJA’s OG-X-FR frame. Ross DashBoard Software supports Windows, macOS, and Linux and provides convenient, configuration, monitoring, and control options for openGear cards and frames via a connected computer or over local network with DashBoard's web UI.

OG-12G-AM Workflow
In this workflow diagram, the OG-12G-AM receives 4K video and embedded audio via 12G-SDI. Simultaneously, the OG-12G-AM disembeds AES audio to the AES I/O for mixing.
The output of the mixer is then embedded into the SDI stream being output via the 12G-SDI port of the OG-12G-AM. This 12G-SDI output is fed directly to a Ki Pro Ultra 12G to record the original 4K video with the newly embedded, mixed audio.
openGear Compatibility
The openGear standard ensures that AJA cards will be compatible with other openGear products from certified openGear partners. With a growing list of products, openGear is the standard for professional rackframe solutions.
Flexible I/O
The modular rear panel allows custom I/O connections per card (included with individual cards).
Failsafe
The optional redundant power supply provides a secondary power source in the event of a primary power failure.
Ethernet Access
A standard Ethernet connection allows the frame to be accessed via the Ross DashBoard software application for overall frame communication. Optional per-card Ethernet access can be installed in the frame for advanced communication with compatible openGear cards.
